First Visit

We know that your first visit a new congregation, you may be a little nervous, so we would like to assure you that we will do everything in our power to make you feel welcome.  Sometimes, it helps to know a little about what to expect.

1. Services will begin promptly at the designated start times, Sundays at 10:30 am and 2:30 pm.

2. Up until the beginning of services, you will be greeted at the door into the sanctuary.

3. You will be treated respectfully and courteously, no matter what your former belief or lack of belief may have been.

4. Services will begin with several (3-5) songs followed by a prayer led by a man designated before services began, after prayer, after another song, a sermon based solely on biblical principles and scripture will be delivered by a designated speaker.  The sermon will end with a invitation song and opportunity for any person male or female, who may have a particular need, to come forward and express his/her need, whether he/she needs prayers on their behalf, or they desire to be obedient to the Gospel of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins through Baptism.

 5. After the invitation song had been sung, the Lord’s Supper will be observed.

6. After the Lord’s Supper, the members will be given the opportunity to Lay By In Store (the collection or contribution).  We Do Not expect visitors to contribute, although they are free to do so.

7. Immediately following, the person designated to be In Charge of the service, will make any pertinent announcements

8 . There will be one more hymn sung, and a Closing Prayer to conclude the service.

9. A time of visitation, in which we look forward to meeting and learning a little about our visitors.

10. You will be asked your name, and possibly contact information, to follow up on whether we might be of service to you.
